The news came out early Monday that WWE performer Jeff Hardy had been arrested on Saturday night and was booked for a DWI after crashing his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan.
TMZ reported the details of the arrest and added that Hardy took a breathalyzer test and his result was more than three times the legal limit.
Hardy will be appearing in court over the DWI case in April.
PWinsider.com added that Hardy was issued a 30-day pretrial revocation of his driver’s license.
The WWE issued the following statement to TMZ:
Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.
Hardy has been off the road since last October when he underwent surgery on his shoulder for a torn rotator cuff and his return was expected imminently.
