Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown Live from New Orleans concluded the WWE’s WrestleMania Week in the city and fourth event of the week at the Smoothie King Center.

The show kicked off with Shane McMahon’s announcement that Daniel Bryan is no longer General Manager of the show and is being replaced by Paige. The news of Paige’s role comes 24-hours after her retirement announcement on Raw due to ongoing neck issues, which the WWE is not going to clear her from.

SmackDown featured Carmella cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase and defeating Charlotte to become the SmackDown women’s champion. The cash-in came after the main roster debuts of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, The Iconics, who attacked Charlotte and left her laying in the ring. Kay and Royce were the only call-ups on the show following Ember Moon, The Authors of Pain, and No Way Jose being added to Raw the night prior.

The show was highlighted by the first singles match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan in over 12 years and ended with Shinsuke Nakamura attacking both.

Percy Watson has been added to the 205 Live commentary team.
