Impact Wrestling’s viewership rebounds, updated card for the Redemption pay-per-view

Thursday night's episode of Impact Wrestling saw the viewership rebound following a big drop the week prior. The promotion has also added additional matches to the "Redemption" pay-per-view following Thursday's episode.

Following a one-week drop last week, Impact Wrestling was back up with 381,000 viewers for this week’s episode on POP TV.

During the month of March, Impact failed to dip below 325,000 viewers and then dropped to 294,000 viewers last week, which went head-to-head with the USA Network’s “Greatest WrestleMania Moments” program.

This week’s show shot back up following the controversy last weekend involving Alberto El Patron’s release. Impact Wrestling promoted throughout the week that Alberto’s release would be addressed on the show.

This week’s number is the second highest Impact has averaged this year, trailing the March 29th episode that did 399,000 viewers.

On Thursday’s show, they shot several angles to set up matches for the April 22nd “Redemption” pay-per-view, including the new three-way main event after Alberto El Patron’s removal from the show. Below is the lineup that has been announced so far:
*Austin Aries vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix for the Impact title
*Matt Sydal vs. Petey Williams for the X Division title
*LAX vs. Eli Drake and Scott Steiner for the Impact tag titles
*Allie vs. Su Yung for the Knockout’s title
*oVe vs. Tommy Dreamer, Moose & Eddie Edwards in a House of Hardcore Match
