UFC president Dana White appeared on Sportscentre on TSN and announced that the UFC 231 pay-per-view will take place from the Scotiabank Arena (formerly Air Canada Centre) in Toronto, Ontario on Sunday, December 8th.

It marks the sixth UFC card to take place from Toronto dating back to April 2011 and the third UFC card in Canada in 2018. The promotion will stage a Fox event later this month in Calgary and is expected to host a Fight Night card in Moncton, New Brunswick in October.

The UFC’s last trip to Toronto came in December 2016 featuring Max Holloway defeating Anthony Pettis in the main event, and many people’s pick for “fight of the year” between Cub Swanson and Doo Ho Choi.
