In the main event of Sunday’s Destruction in Kobe card, Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Kazuchika Okada to retain his title shot at Wrestle Kingdom in January.
The match went over 35 minutes and concluded with three variations of the High Fly Flow to pin Okada with both selling their knees throughout the match.
There was a major angle shot after the match involving various members of CHAOS.
Jay White appeared and attacked Tanahashi and Okada and stood tall in the ring. This led to Yoshi-Hashi running down the ramp and spilled on the floor before entering. Yoshi-Hashi came up and had blood all over his head from his fall. He was quickly dispatched by Jay White, who sent him to the floor.
Gedo then ran down and removed the chair from the hands of Jay White, Okada stood up to White and led to Gedo nailing Okada with the chair from behind.
Gedo proclaimed his allegiance to White and said neither Tanahashi or Okada deserve to headline the Tokyo Dome because both lost to White during the G1 Climax.
Wai Ting and I will have NJPW Destruction in Kobe POST Show up Sunday afternoon with a full review of the show on the POST Wrestling Café.
