The WWE announced Friday evening that Alexa Bliss has been removed from the Evolution event this Sunday due to injury.

Bliss suffered an injury last weekend on a house show and did not attend Monday’s Raw tapings in Providence, Rhode Island. The company was hopeful she would be okay for Sunday’s show but made the call to remove her.

Alicia Fox will take the spot of Bliss and team with Mickie James against Trish Stratus and Lita. The company is promoting that Bliss will be in Fox and James’ corner on Sunday on Long Island.

Stratus noted that Sunday’s match at the Nassau Coliseum is the same arena where she made her debut for the company in March 2000 on an episode of Sunday Night Heat. Stratus would become the manager of Test & Albert, who were marketed as “T&A”. The unit was short lived and Stratus would branch out to become the breakout star of the act.
