Game Changer Wrestling, which is the promotion behind the annual Spring Break events during WrestleMania Week, has announced that Atsushi Onita will be part of Spring Break III.
The announcement was made Friday evening with a video teaser featuring Onita, who is the first name announced for the card.
Spring Break III will take place on Friday, April 5th, at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey with tickets going on sale this Monday at Noon Eastern.
Spring Break became one of the most-discussed shows of 2017 and the follow-up event in 2018 in New Orleans featured Joey Janela taking on the Great Sasuke. The same promotion also introduced Matt Riddle’s Bloodsport in 2018 during ‘Mania Week and next year will promote the show as Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport.
Spring Break will mark another retirement that Onita has broken after holding his last retirement match on October 31st, 2017 where he teamed with KAI and Shingo Takagi to defeat Kazuyuki Fujita, Kendo Kashin & NOSAWA Rongai in a Barbed Wire Board & Street Fight Tornado Bunkhouse Deathmatch at Korakuen Hall. The match concluded a retirement tour that included a tour in the United States for Onita.
