On Monday, Cody had an MRI performed on his injured knee to assess the damage at Friday’s Ring of Honor card in Buffalo, New York.

Cody posted the following statement:

GOOD news is my doctor is fairly confident that my mcl/pcl/acl are structurally sound.

BAD news is the meniscus is fairly damaged, gonna’ require a scope. No dates will be adjusted at the moment, and I’ll definitely still compete in the final battle main event & at WK.

As Cody was going to throw his shirt to the audience, he pivoted and heard a loud pop in his knee. Despite the pain, Cody continued the match where he was teaming with Hangman Page against The Briscoe Brothers and Best Friends.

Due to the injury, he did not wrestle at Sunday’s show in Toronto, although did participate in the pre-show meet-and-greet.

He is scheduled to headline Final Battle on December 14th against ROH champion Jay Lethal. His match at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th at the Tokyo Dome hasn’t been announced.
