Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live from Charlotte, North Carolina featured two notable returns and a change to the WWE title match at Fastlane.

In the opening segment, Kofi Kingston was about to sign his contract to face Daniel Bryan at the March 10th pay-per-view when Vince McMahon came out and changed the match. In Kingston’s place will be the returning Kevin Owens, who had been off television since last fall after undergoing double knee surgery.

The new title match at Fastlane will see Bryan defend the title against Owens.

Matt Hardy returned to television and was reunited with brother Jeff as the duo defeated The Bar. It had been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the company exercised an option on their contract to extend the Hardy’s deal for another year.

Matt Hardy reverted to his Hardy Boys character and appears to have dropped the “Broken” persona, although did lead the fans to chant “Delete” during the match.

It was also announced on SmackDown that Charlotte Flair will appear on Monday’s episode of Raw in Philadelphia.
