New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that Flip Gordon and El Desperado are out of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament, which begins on Monday.

The promotion cited an injury to El Desperado while Gordon has encountered visa problems that will prevent the two from participating in the tournament. Both were scheduled to be part of the B Block.

Desperado suffered a broken jaw at Tuesday’s TakaTaichi Mania 2 event at Korakuen Hall.

The two will be replaced by Ren Narita and DOUKI. The latter is a Japanese wrestler, who has been working in Mexico as an independent and will be aligned with Suzuki-gun. The Luchablog account has a thread on his career and what to expect for DOUKI (which is pronounced DOW-ki).

Narita and DOUKI will face each other on Tuesday in Miyagi.

The tournament kicks off Monday with A Block matches and runs through June 5th with the finals at Sumo Hall.
