On the final episode of WWE Raw going into this weekend’s SummerSlam event, the show saw an increase in viewership from the previous week.

Monday’s show averaged 2,473,000 viewers on the USA Network, which represented a bump of 6.5% with several factors at play. The show was the final Raw before SummerSlam with Brock Lesnar and Trish Stratus advertised in advance and a tease that Bill Goldberg could be revealed as Dolph Ziggler’s opponent. The latter scenario was not implied by the company, although reports of Goldberg’s involvement at SummerSlam were well known over the past week.

The show opened with 2.41 million viewers and increased by 6.6% to 2.57 million in the second hour before a decline of 5% in the third hour to 2.44 million, which featured Goldberg’s reveal on Miz TV in the final segment.

If you exclude the Raw Reunion show, it was their most-watched show since July 1st, which was the week following the news that Paul Heyman had been named Executive Director of Raw.

From year-to-year, they are down 11.5% from the same week in August 2018 for a show headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Alicia Fox.
