The AEW championship match at the “Full Gear” pay-per-view is set with Chris Jericho set to defend the title against Cody, which was first revealed by SI.com.

The match announcement comes on the eve of tickets going on sale for the promotion’s next pay-per-view scheduled for Saturday, November 9th at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Jericho became the first AEW champion this past Hangman Page at “All Out” and was the subject of endless coverage over the past two days when a police report was filed regarding the missing championship title. The title was turned in by a couple in Florida, who discovered the title on the road while driving home. The Tallahassee Police Department recovered the title from the man, and it has since been returned to Jericho.

Both will have matches on AEW’s debut on TNT on October 2nd with Cody facing Sammy Guevara and Jericho teaming with two mystery partners to face Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in Washington, D.C. The promotion has also announced that the title will be defended on the October 16th episode on TNT in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
