Impact Wrestling announced Thursday the inevitable, that their flagship program will be moving to AXS TV next month.

In the press release, no day or timeslot was listed, although Impact will make the move following the Bound for Glory pay-per-view on October 20th in Villa Park, Illinois. The series will continue in its two-hour weekly format.

This news comes days after the announcement that Impact’s parent company, Anthem Sports and Entertainment, had purchased a majority stake in AXS TV and HDNet Movies and followed by significant layoffs on the AXS TV side.

Impact is currently airing in the United States on the fledgling Pursuit Channel, which is available in approximately 35 million homes and simulcast on Twitch. The move to AXS TV will see the show available in approximately 50 million homes and will remain on Twitch simultaneously.

AXS TV becomes the latest home of Impact since leaving Spike TV in late 2014 going from Destination America to Pop TV, and most recently Pursuit.

Impact Wrestling president Ed Nordholm was quoted in the release stating:

IMPACT Wrestling is a perfect fit for AXS TV’s slate of live sporting events and combat sports content. The newest addition to our growing portfolio of media assets, AXS TV’s audience perfectly aligns with our passionate IMPACT Wrestling fan base, and this move increases the reach for our weekly program with distribution in over 50 million homes. We could not ask for a better home and are excited by the opportunities to work with Mark Cuban and Anschutz Entertainment Group, our partners in AXS TV, to bolster IMPACT Wrestling’s presence in the market, as we continue to deliver action-packed and innovative weekly programming featuring some of the most athletic and gifted stars in the professional wrestling industry”.
