New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running three consecutive nights in Tokyo this January with the news that “New Year Dash” will take place after the two Tokyo Dome cards.

New Year Dash will take place Monday, January 6, 2020, following the promotion’s back-to-back cards at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th and 5th.

The annual Dash event is moving to a larger building as they will run Ota Ward Gymnasium, a venue with historical significance for hosting New Japan’s inaugural event in 1972 and the home of their anniversary show each March.

The venue holds approximately 4,000 people so it is roughly double the size of Korakuen Hall, which previously housed the Dash event. Because of so many more international attendees and coming off Wrestle Kingdom, the Dash card has become a hard-to-secure ticket each year with so few available. The increase in size will alleviate that, to a degree.

There are several pre-sale opportunities beginning on Thursday, October 4th and the general on-sale date is October 26th.
