Last week, a report surfaced of a sexual assault investigation involving “a famous Irish sportsman”, who was not identified due to privacy laws in Ireland regarding suspects of rape being identified while under investigation.

McGregor was arrested in January and questioned over the allegation before being released. The New York Times reported that the findings of the first investigation had been passed on to the prosecutor’s office in Ireland.
