Killer Kross Released From IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling announces via their official website that Killer Kross has been released from the company

IMPACT Wrestling announced via their official website that Killer Kross has been released from the company. This past May, PWInsider reported that Kross requested his release and it was not up until today that Kross was officially granted that release. Kross, real name Kevin Kesar was last featured on IMPACT Wrestling TV on the June 6th edition of their show on-which he picked up a victory over The Sandman.

After the news of his release hit social media, Killer Kross reacted by posting the following highlight video from his YouTube channel onto Twitter. The video features Kross staring at a screen that the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Jon Moxley, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Roman Reigns, Matt Riddle, Brock Lesnar, Johnny Gargano and several other wrestlers were on as a sign that Kross can now potentially wrestle any of those names now.

During an interview with Sporting News several months ago, Kross described his relationship with IMPACT as “not good” and said the issues between the two parties began over merchandising. At the time of the interview, Kross could not dive too deeply into his issues with the company but here’s what he shared with the publication when asked about the reasons he was given about not receiving his release:

“Because I was under contract. That’s basically what they told me. They said that they were not going to be giving me my release and I thought that was ridiculous because literally in January, in front of the entire roster in Nashville, management stood in front of everyone and said, ‘If you are not able to be here or can no longer be here or don’t want to be here, we don’t want you here and we will part ways’. That’s something that has been told to just about everyone in the company, even prior to me being there, and at that time, it still hadn’t even crossed my mind. I was trying to improve my current situation and be on par and track with the things that were supposed to be done for me, essentially. So, they’re just … I guess you’d have to ask them. I wouldn’t even be able to speak on their behalf because we’re on two totally different pages, unfortunately.”

Scarlett Bordeaux, who is now a part of WWE’s NXT brand and is in a relationship with Killer Kross, was granted her release from IMPACT Wrestling this past Summer. During the time period that this situation was unfolding, Killer Kross has been competing in AAA, AAW, Bar Wrestling and Game Changer Wrestling among other promotions.

Killer Kross is now a free agent and free to work where he chooses.
