On Monday’s edition of Raw, another match was made official for the Royal Rumble next month at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.

Becky Lynch will defend the Raw women’s title against Asuka in a rematch from last year’s show where Asuka defeated Lynch.

The story is that Lynch’s contract is coming due and she will not negotiate with WWE until she was granted the match with the idea the WWE is protecting her from Asuka. It was very reminiscent of many examples from MMA with a fighter opting to fight out their contract to maximize their value but risking a loss that would hurt their leverage.

Also, on the show, Charlotte Flair was the first woman to announce she would be part of the women’s Royal Rumble match.

They have also announced that The Fiend Bray Wyatt will defend the Universal title against Daniel Bryan.

The Royal Rumble will take place on Sunday, January 26th from the baseball stadium in Houston, Texas.
