It was during WWE’s TLC pay-per-view kickoff show that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson of The Revival confronted WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T and brought up the idea of a match between them and Harlem Heat (Booker T & Stevie Ray). Wilder and Dawson have also mentioned the potential match several times on social media and taunted Booker T by doing the Spinnaroonie at WWE live events.

Booker T reacted to Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson’s challenge during WWE Backstage on FS1 and he recently spoke about the challenge on the latest edition of his ‘Hall Of Fame’ podcast. Booker T feels he has something left in the tank and also feels that he has enough to work the Royal Rumble match and do the tag team match with Stevie Ray against The Revival.

“I’ve been getting a lot of workouts in man. I’ve been trying to get my body right. I’ve been trying to get my mojo right. I’ve been in the gym, training, working out real hard and sometimes I’ve been doing two-a-days and I’m trying to get myself in shape. Hey man, the Royal Rumble is gonna be right here in Houston, Texas on the 26th right there in Minute Maid Park and we got people calling me out. I still got something left in the tank. I just checked it a couple of weeks ago and we got about a quarter tank left, and I think I’m ready to use it, because I think I can get about… on a quarter tank, I can get about 200 miles. You understand what I’m saying? So I think I can do the Rumble as well as take that challenge as far as The Revival calling me and my brother out. One of The Revival, I think it was Scott Dawson, he went out and did a Spinaroonie just this [past] weekend actually against The [Viking] Raiders. I think they lost that match too so, if they lost that match, what do they think is gonna happen against Har… and it [Dawson’s Spinaroonie] sucked. It sucked first and foremost.”

Booker said that he is still waiting on his invitation from WWE to come and work the show. He stated that he needs time to prepare for the match[es] and doesn’t want to have a late start to that preparation. The two-time Hall Of Famer made it clear that if WWE doesn’t reach out to him by next week, he will not be working the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in his hometown of Houston, Texas at Minute Maid Park.

“I’m still waiting on my invitation. Look bro, if I would’ve gotten it, I would tell you,” Booker said to his co-host. “I have not gotten my invitation yet, and the thing is, if they don’t tell me in the next week, I ain’t doing it. They’re on the clock. So I’m putting this out there right now. If they don’t let me know within the next seven days, don’t call, because I’m gonna stop training after that. I’ll stop putting in real hard work. Don’t call me at the last minute and I’m not ready. Don’t call me at the last minute because I need time to… my mind gotta be right going into this thing. I gotta be focused. I don’t wanna put in all that work for nothing.”

Booker T also revealed that WWE contacted him about appearing on FOX’s New Year’s Eve Special with Steve Harvey. The likes of R-Truth, Mojo Rawley and Maria Menounos were a part of the special as well. Booker said that he did not want to do the show so he told WWE that he had something else going on. He also talked about how Rob Gronkowski likes to enjoy himself and pinpointed when Gronk knocked over Steve Harvey’s Lego block statue.

“Man, guess what? I was supposed to be there. I said I didn’t wanna do it. I said, ‘Nah man, I’ll sit this one out.’ I said I don’t want to be no where near Times Square, and [Rob] Gronkowsi was gonna be there, R-Truth, Maria Menounos, and they had asked me if I wanted to, and I was like, ‘Man, I got a party going on, doing some stuff with all my guys from Reality Of Wrestling for the end of the year and I’d rather sit this out’ so I’m so glad I didn’t go to that because, oh man, that had to be a scene,” Booker said of Rob Gronkowski knocking over Steve Harvey’s Lego sculpture. “That dude gets drunk bro. He gets lit. I’m talking about three sheets in the wind. Gronkowski bruh, he be drunk.”

The Royal Rumble pay-per-view is slated for January 26th and the event will feature the traditional men’s and women’s Rumble matches, Bray Wyatt versus Daniel Bryan for the Universal Championship along with Becky Lynch defending the RAW Women’s Championship against Asuka.
