First WWE SmackDown Episode Of 2020 Drew 2.418 Million Overnight Viewers

The overnight viewership numbers are in for the 1/3/20 episode of Friday Night SmackDown and the numbers are slightly down from last week's show.

Friday Night SmackDown on FOX kicked off 2020 with several returns including John Morrison, Sheamus and former 6-time WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos. According to Showbuzz Daily, last night’s show from Memphis, Tennessee brought in 2.418 million overnight viewers. That number is down from last week’s episode which had an average of 2.439 million overnight viewers.

This week’s SmackDown did an 0.7 in the 18-49 demographic and was headlined by Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns teaming up to face King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. The final sequences of the match saw Bryan being confronted by “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt which led to Wyatt taking Bryan out of the match with a Mandible Claw. Roman Reigns was left to fend for himself and was ambushed by King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler until Jimmy and Jey Uso returned for the save.
