WWE RAW Notes: Big Show Returns, New Men’s Royal Rumble Entrants

Big Show returns, Rusev gets his match against Lashley, Brock appearing on RAW next week and more notes coming out of the 1/6 episode of RAW.

The January 6th edition of Monday Night RAW emanated from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and throughout the show, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens teased a mystery partner to tag with them to take on Seth Rollins and AOP. That mystery partner turned out to be The Big Show who last wrestled in November of 2018. The six man tag match did not have a decisive finish but on next week’s show in Lexington, Kentucky, Big Show, Kevin Owens and Joe will team up again to face Seth Rollins, Akam and Rezar in what’s being advertised as a “Fist Fight”.

Also scheduled for next week is Randy Orton versus AJ Styles. Styles defeated Akira Tozawa on 1/6 and used Orton’s signature draping DDT and scored a victory over Tozawa by using the RKO. After his win, Styles went up to the middle rope and did Orton’s signature pose.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are official for the men’s Royal Rumble match and joining them are Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, Erick Rowan, AJ Styles, Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre.

Actor Rick Malone, who played the role of the pastor for Lana and Bobby Lashley’s wedding segment attempted to get in the ring for another Lashley and Lana segment but security pinned him to the mat.

He was a part of the segment with Lana and Lashley and the “couple” officially got married but Rusev crashed the party via satellite. This led to a match between Rusev and Lashley being made official for next week and during a backstage interview, Liv Morgan teased being in Rusev’s corner for the match. Buddy Murphy versus Aleister Black and another appearance from Brock Lesnar is set for next week as well.
