NWA Powerrr Recap (1/7/20) Scott Steiner Aligns With Nick Aldis

Episode 13 of NWA Powerrr featured the debut of Scott Steiner, a match between ODB and Thunder Rosa and another passionate promo from Tim Storm.

The National Wrestling Alliance is nearing closer to their ‘Hard Times’ pay-per-view on January 24th and to help inch closer to the event is another episode of their weekly series, NWA Powerrr. Episode 13 of the series premiered on the NWA YouTube channel and the show kicked off with a promo from Tim Storm.

– Storm is in the tournament to crown a new NWA Television Champion and that champion will be crowned at Hard Times. Storm praised the prestige of the Television Title and then mentioned the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis. Those comments led to Kamille making her way to the interview desk. Kamille pushed Joe Galli out of the way, held the microphone up to her mouth as if she was about to talk but did not utter a word. Tim Storm then asked Kamille is Nick Aldis actually a coward and Kamille slapped him. Tim Storm was furious and Kamille walked away with a smile on her face.

– Trevor Murdoch and The Dawsons were at the interview desk with Dave Marquez concerning the NWA Television Title tournament. When the two names were pulled out of the bowl, it was made official that Zane and Dave Dawson will go one-on-one on next week’s show to find out who advances in the tournament. Murdoch is taking on Thomas Latimer in the tournament.

– Zicky Dice earned his spot in the TV Title tournament final at Hard Times when he defeated Caleb Konley via pin fall in their six-minute sprint.

– An interview with NWA National Heavyweight Champion Aron Stevens and The Question Mark aired. Stevens reiterated that he and The Question Mark want all the gold in the National Wrestling Alliance. Joe Galli asked Stevens why he isn’t defending the National Title and Stevens quickly wrapped the interview up after that question was asked.

– NWA World Women’s Champion Allysin Kay joined Joe Galli and Stu Bennett at the commentary desk for the match between ODB and Thunder Rosa. Thunder Rosa scored the victory with a double-stomp off the top rope.

– Nick Aldis appeared at the interview desk to promote his forthcoming match against Ricky Starks. Starks and Aldis’ match had a 6:05 time limit and towards the end of the time limit, Aldis locked in the King’s Lynn Cloverleaf on Starks but Starks was able to hold on and did not tap. The time ran out and Nick Aldis thought he won the match but quickly realized that he didn’t. Ricky Morton came to the ring and attempted to convince Aldis to give Ricky Starks another six minutes and Aldis denied the proposition.

– A Triple-Threat tag team match between Ken Anderson & Colt Cabana, James Storm & Eli Drake, and Thomas Latimer & Royce Issacs is advertised but The Wild Cards did not show up so it was converted into a traditional tag team match. James Storm and Eli Drake won the match via disqualification after Ken Anderson put his hands on the official. Anderson was upset that the official was late for the count that Colt Cabana had on Eli Drake in the ring as the referee was attending to James Storm on the outside. Colt Cabana then lectured Ken Anderson for costing them the match and told Ken he’s better than that.

– Shortly after the aforementioned events, Nick Aldis, Kamille and The Wild Cards came to the interview desk with Dave Marquez. Aldis invited Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson out to the desk. Aldis proposed that there be a six-man tag team match and if Ricky Morton’s team wins, Ricky will get a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title. Aldis said that he and Morton can not compete in the match. Latimer and Issacs will represent his team and Aldis then introduced the third member of his team in that match, former two-time IWGP Tag Team Champion Scott Steiner.
