AAA’s La Parka Passes Away At 56 Years Old

At the age of 56-years old, AAA's La Parka has passed away after the severe injuries he suffered back in October. POST Wrestling would like to send our condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of La Parka.

At the age of 56-years old, former Mexican National Cruiserweight Champion La Parka passed away. The news of his passing was confirmed by AAA, CMLL and LuchaBlog. In AAA’s statement, it’s noted that La Parka died of lungs and kidney failure. AAA’s La Parka is not to be confused with La Parka that wrestled in WCW and who currently wrestles in MLW as L.A. Park.

During Kaoz Lucha Libre’s 64 Anniversary’s show in October in Monterrey, Mexico, La Parka, real name Jesus Alfonso Huerta Escoboza attempted a suicide dive onto RUSH but missed the maneuver and crashed head first into the barricade. La Parka was immediately taken to a hospital and underwent surgery not too long after arriving at the hospital.

While speaking with TVAzteca in October, Karis la Momia Jr., who is the son of La Parka stated that his father was in stable condition after attempting to hit the suicide dive. It is noted in the article that doctors planned to reevaluate La Parka on 10/24 and Karis la Momia Jr. sent his thank you’s to all who wished La Parka well.

La Parka was diagnosed with cervical and neck fractures. LuchaBlog added that when he suffered the injury, those close to the situation did not expect him to make it through the night but La Parka continued fighting until January 11th.

POST Wrestling would like to send our condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Jesus Alfonso Huerta Escoboza a.k.a. La Parka.
