WWE performer Kalisto is the latest performer to sign a new deal with the company, which was first reported by Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Kalisto (Emanuel Alejandro Rodriguez), 33, has been with the company since 2013 and debuted on NXT in September of that year under the new moniker.

Prior to joining WWE, he had competed as Octagon Jr. and Samuray del Sol where he gained prominence working for AAA and Dragon Gate USA.

Alongside Sin Cara as The Lucha Dragon, the pair won the NXT tag titles in September 2014 from The Ascension and held them until January 2015.

He debuted on Raw the night after WrestleMania 31 in March 2015, alongside Sin Cara and continued to team with him. He won the United States title twice during the month of January 2016 while feuding with Alberto Del Rio.

In 2017, he was designated to 205 Live and won the Cruiserweight title from Enzo Amore in October 2017 but only held it for thirteen days before losing it back to Enzo.

It was 205 Live, that Kalisto formed the Lucha House Party with Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik with the group drafted to SmackDown this past October.

Last August, he made a cryptic comment on Twitter writing “10 Months” with the hashtag “Free Agent” alluding to his contract status. The tweet was later deleted.
