Keith Lee Defeats Roderick Strong To Become NXT North American Champion

Keith Lee defeated Roderick Strong on NXT to become the new North American Champion. Lee is the sixth man to have held the two-year old belt.

The reign of Keith Lee as NXT North American Champion began on tonight’s edition of NXT as he defeated Roderick Strong in the main event of the show. Undisputed ERA’s Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish lost in the semi-finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and it was up to Roddy Strong to score a victory for Undisputed ERA. Despite the outside interference, Keith Lee was able to prevail and hit his Jackhammer signature move to pin Roderick Strong and become the sixth NXT North American Champion and the third African-American to hold the belt.

After Lee’s victory, he celebrated on stage but the Undisputed ERA had no time to rest as Imperium (Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner, Alexander Wolfe & WALTER) came to the ring to fight and they brawled with Undisputed ERA as NXT went off the air on the USA Network.

Imperium and Undisputed ERA are clashing this weekend at WWE Worlds Collide and here is the updated match card for the January 25th NXT vs. NXT U.K. event:

  • Imperium (WALTER, Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel & Alexander Wolfe) vs. Undisputed ERA (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong)
