Coming out of the January 22nd episode of NXT, two matches were made official for next week’s show and the first of those two matches is the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne defeated Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel to advance to the finals of the tournament and Grizzled Young Veterans defeated NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish to advance to the finals. With their respective victories, the two teams will meet next week at Full Sail University to determine the winners of the 2020 Dusty Classic.

A video package aired featuring Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox to promote their match on next week’s show. The feud between the two competitors has been intensifying since Kai big booted Tegan Nox at NXT TakeOver: WarGames III and turned her back on Team Rhea Ripley.
