For the first time in his WWE career, Braun Strowman captured his first singles title. Strowman earned that stripe during the second hour of Friday Night SmackDown when he ended Shinsuke Nakamura’s seven month reign as champion.

Strowman was able to get the best of Nakamura despite Cesaro and Sami Zayn trying to guide Nakamura to victory. Throughout his career, Braun has captured the RAW Tag Team Championships on two separate occasions, won the Greatest Royal Rumble, the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and is a Money In The Bank winner.
Joining the aforementioned list of accolades for Strowman is an Intercontinental Championship victory as he’s the 86th man to have held the title since WWE re-branded from WWF to WWE.
Earlier on during tonight’s edition of SmackDown, John Morrison and The Miz earned an opportunity to challenge Big E and Kofi Kingston for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia and for more information on that, head over to this link.
