The opening contest of the last episode of Friday Night SmackDown in January was a four-way tag team match featuring Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik), Heavy Machinery (Otis & Tucker), The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) and John Morrison and The Miz. At stake was an opportunity to challenge Big E and Kofi Kingston of the New Day for their SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WWE Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia on February 27th.
The final sequences of the match saw The Miz hit his “Skull Crushing Finale” on Scott Dawson and Morrison finished it off with a “Starship Pain” to secure the win and the tag title opportunity for himself and The Miz.

Miz, Morrison, Kingston and Big E have crossed paths on several occasions since Morrison’s return to WWE and two of those occasions included Morrison defeating Big E and Kofi in singles competition. The two parties will meet in tag team action in just under four weeks with the SmackDown tag titles on the line.
