During Monday’s episode of Raw, it was announced that Bill Goldberg will be appearing on Friday Night SmackDown this week.
Goldberg has not wrestled since SummerSlam last year, where he defeated Dolph Ziggler in a short match in Toronto at the pay-per-view. Prior to that, he wrestled The Undertaker last June at the Super ShowDown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
This Friday’s episode of SmackDown takes place from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
Goldberg’s second run with WWE dates to the fall of 2016 when he was brought back for a program Brock Lesnar. The two were paired together at the Survivor Series that year with Goldberg winning the match 1:25 at the former Air Canada Centre. Goldberg continued that run by winning the Universal title from Kevin Owens in March 2017 before losing the belt to Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. The following year Goldberg led the Hall of Fame class of 2018 during WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana.
