One of two championship matches that occurred on tonight’s AEW Dynamite from Cedar Park, Texas featured Riho defending the AEW Women’s World Championship against Nyla Rose. After a back and forth exchange and several near falls, it was Nyla Rose executing her powerbomb to secure the victory and become the new AEW Women’s World Champion and end Riho’s five-month reign as champion.

Riho defeated Nyla Rose on the debut episode of Dynamite on TNT this past October and after months of chasing the title, Nyla Rose has become the second woman to hold the AEW Women’s World Title.
On last week’s show, Nyla Rose ambushed Riho from behind and powerbombed her onto a table. Prior to that happening, PAC confronted Riho and used Riho as a prop to lure Kenny Omega into accepting a match with him that has since been made official for the February 26th episode of Dynamite under Iron Man match rules. Both Nyla Rose and Riho either attempted or used signature moves of Kenny Omega in their match but in the end, it was Nyla Rose prevailing and jumping to the top of the food chain in AEW’s women’s division.
