El Hijo del Fantasma inked a deal with WWE in the Summer of 2019 and his Performance Center announcement was made the following September. It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason del Fantasma, real name Jorge Bolly had not made his in-ring debut in the months prior to this weekend is because of a blown out knee.
Tino Sabbatelli has been out of action since April of 2018 with a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery. The injury occurred at an NXT house show in Largo, Florida when Tino was dropkicked by Velveteen Dream and the two immediately went to the finish of the match. Just a few days prior to his injury, Sabbatelli wrestled the then-NXT Champion Aleister Black for the title.
