During Tuesday’s series premiere of ‘The Circle Squared’, the NWA revealed the date and location of the upcoming Crockett Cup event.
The promotion’s return to pay-per-view will take place on Sunday, April 19th at the Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.
The pre-sale for tickets begins Thursday, February 27th with tickets to the public available the following day.
It had previously been announced that Nick Aldis will defend the NWA championship against Marty Scurll at the event with the added stipulation that Scrull will write a cheque to Aldis for $500,000 if he loses.
The Gateway Center Arena just opened in November 2019 with a listed capacity of 3,500 for basketball and 5,000 for a concert. It’s the home of the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League and Atlanta Dream of the WNBA.
Interestingly, the Crockett Cup event will fall on the same date as Impact Wrestling’s next pay-per-view ‘Rebellion’ that takes place that night from the Melrose Ballroom in New York.
Last year’s Crockett Cup event took place from North Carolina where Aldis retained the NWA title against Scurll and the Crockett Cup tournament was won by Brody King & PCO, who defeated Thomas Latimer & Royce Isaacs in the final.
