NJPW cancels additional events due to the coronavirus outbreak

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced the cancelation of additional shows this month to the coronavirus outbreak.

The company had previously canceled events through this Saturday, which included their 48th Anniversary show in Tokyo and the beginning of the annual New Japan Cup.

Today, they announced that shows scheduled from March 16th to 21st have been canceled, which were the remaining New Japan Cup events.

New Japan was set to go to Toyama on March 16th, Saitama on March 17th, Shizuoka on March 18th, and Niigata on March 20th and 21st.

It was noted they would make an announcement about the shows following March 22nd ‘after careful monitoring of this developing situation.’

The next event on the schedule is the Sakura Genesis show on Tuesday, March 31st at Sumo Hall.
