Due to Full Sail University having other commitments, NXT was live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show featured Mia Yim defeating Dakota Kai, and Tegan Nox besting Deonna Purrazzo. With their respective victories, Yim and Nox qualified for the Ladder match at TakeOver: Tampa and they’ve officially joined Chelsea Green in the field of competitors in the match. The winner of the Ladder match will be the new #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship. Rhea Ripley is defending the NXT Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36. Next week, Candice LeRae is taking on Mercedes Martinez in a qualifying match.
Charlotte Flair also appeared on tonight’s show and confronted her WrestleMania opponent. After brawling, Flair got the best of Rhea Ripley and stood tall with the NXT Women’s Title above her head.
