In front of a live audience, All Japan Pro Wrestling ran its ‘Dream Power Series’ card on Tuesday from Korakuen Hall featuring Kento Miyahara vs. Suwama in the main event.

Miyahara, 31, was the story of the show as his title defense against Suwama represented his opportunity to tie Mitsuharu Misawa for most all-time defenses of the Triple Crown.

However, Miyahara was defeated for the Triple Crown as 43-year old Suwama won the championship for the seventh time, this ending Miyahara’s 17-month title reign.

The match lasted over thirty-one minutes with Suwama pinning Miyahara with the backdrop hold.

Suwama last won the Triple Crown in October 2017 defeating Miyahara but dropped the title two weeks later to Joe Doering.

Misawa’s record remains intact with twenty-one total defenses of the championship spread out over five reigns between 1992 and 1999. Miyahara stands at twenty defenses with four reigns since February 2016. No one else is close as Toshiaki Kawada had eleven defenses and new champion Suwama has defended the title nine times.

The show also featured Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka winning the All-Asia tag titles from Jake Lee & Koji Iwamoto, who won the titles last June and ends their second reign.

Here are the results from Tuesday’s show:
*Hokuto Omori & Tatsuya Hanami over Rising Hayato & Dan Tamura
*Shuji Ishikawa, Hikaru Sato & Yusuke Okada over Francesco Akira, Black Menso-re & Tsugatako Sato
*Yoshitatsu, Yoshihiro Tajiri & Jinsei Shizaki over Jun Akiyama, Takao Omori & Osamu Nishimura
*KAI, Zeus & Yuma Aoyagi over Ryoji Sai, Ayato Yoshida & Gianni Valletta
*Susumu Yokosuka over Izanagi to retain the AJPW junior heavyweight title
*Yuko Miyamoto & Isami Kodaka over Jake Lee & Koji Iwamoto to win the All-Asia tag titles
*Suwama over Kento Miyahara to win the Triple Crown
