All Japan Pro Wrestling cancels ‘Champion Carnival’ tournament

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the cancellation of their Champion Carnival tournament.

All Japan Pro Wrestling was scheduled to present their ‘Champion Carnival’ tournament that was going to begin on April 6th at Korakuen Hall and end on May 5th at the same venue. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, All Japan made the announcement on their social media platforms that the tournament is no longer taking place.

There was an emergency press conference held today by AJPW President Fukuda and despite “trying everything”, they had no other choice but to cancel the tourney.

Below were the list of names who were going to be competing in the ‘Champion Carnival’ tournament:

*Ryoji Sai
*Joel Redman
*Gianni Valletta
*Lucas Steel
*Shigehiro Irie

All Japan’s last show took place on March 23rd and the main event of that show saw Suwama defeat Kento Miyahara to become the new Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion.
