DDT Pro-Wrestling cancels Wrestle Peter Pan event

DDT Pro-Wrestling decided to cancel their biggest show of the calendar year in 'Wrestle Peter Pan'. One-half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega was scheduled to appear on the show.

DDT Pro-Wrestling came to the decision to cancel their Wrestle Peter Pan event that was scheduled for June 7th at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Wrestle Peter Pan is DDT’s biggest show of their calendar year and the official announcement was made via the promotion’s website which has refund information up as well.

It’s noted in the article that the “replacement schedule” will be announced once it’s finalized and they issued an apology to all fans who were looking forward to attending the event. One-half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega was scheduled to compete at Wrestle Peter Pan.

Professional wrestling around the globe has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has led to countless shows being postponed or cancelled with the uncertainty of when those respective promotions and companies will be allowed to run events again and when fans will be able to attend those events.

Last week, DDT Pro-Wrestling was a part of a government meeting along with NJPW, AJPW, STARDOM, Diana, NOAH and Tokyo Joshi Pro as all the listed promotions came together to address the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak on the wrestling business and how they should approach the situation moving forward.
