AEW Dynamite notes: Young Bucks & Hangman Page return, Battle Royal on 5/27, Fenix

All Elite Wrestling held their go-home show for the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view and it featured the final portion of build for the PPV including the return to TV of The Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page.

The go-home show for AEW’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view commenced and concluded on TNT and the show closed with the return to Dynamite of The Young Bucks and Adam Page who had been off of TV since the COVID-19 pandemic began. They returned to assist Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy to fight off The Inner Circle before their Stadium Stampede match at Double Or Nothing on May 23rd.

Cody and Lance Archer are set to go one-on-one at Double Or Nothing in the finals of the TNT Championship tournament. The victor of that match will know who they’ll be defending their title against next as a battle royal was announced for next week’s Dynamite. The winner of the battle royal will get to challenge for the TNT Championship on June 3rd.

While the competitors in the Casino ladder match at Double Or Nothing were brawling around the ringside area, Rey Fenix went to the top rope for a dive and no one caught Fenix which resulted in a rough landing. Also, a Twitter user caught a clip of Wardlow almost slipping up on the ring apron while walking behind MJF.

Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone and Excalibur shared kind words about the late Shad Gaspard during the Dynamite broadcast. Also, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and Big Swole wore armbands with the initials “SG” to pay tribute to Shad.  Here’s the updated lineup for Double Or Nothing:
