This week at POST Wrestling features a big review of WrestleMania 31 from 2015, a watch-along with the British Wrestling Experience crew, and a retrospective on the launch of Pro Wrestling NOAH.
One major note is that for the time being the Café Hangout is on pause. This is due to several factors the key being an increasingly busier schedule for the two of us for that day. We greatly enjoy the live interaction of that show and it will be returning when it can work again for our schedules. In the meantime, we have added a new interactive component to Rewind-A-SmackDown where we will take your calls at the end of the review to discuss any topics from the past week. This will begin with Friday’s episode and all Patrons can listen to Rewind-A-SmackDown LIVE.
Rewind-A-Wai #62 will drop on Tuesday evening for POST Wrestling Café members and we will look back at WrestleMania 31 from March 2015. This show featured Brock Lesnar defending the WWE Championship against Roman Reigns, Sting’s first match in WWE against Triple H, The Undertaker’s return after the streak ended the year prior, and a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental title. This show was selected by Espresso Executive Producer David Porges.
As always, we will look back at the week in news from March 2015 that includes notes from WrestleMania Weekend in California, WWE Network stats, a huge show in NXT’s history, a future New Japan star leaves the company, The Rock hosts SNL, and a massive number on Raw following WrestleMania.
On Thursday evening, the latest British Wrestling Experience will be released with yet another cool concept show. This week, the hosts have designed a playlist of matches they have selected and you can watch along as they discuss all of them, which include Owen Hart vs. Marty Jones, Bryan Danielson vs. Zack Sabre Jr., Chris Hero vs. Tyler Bate, Jonny Storm vs. Jody Fleisch & more. Plus, a review of the Euro Transfer Window & more.
Finally, on Sunday we have a big edition of POST Puroresu with WH Park. The deadline to submit entries for the theme song contest is this Wednesday on the POST Wrestling Forum with the winner selected on this week’s show. Then, WH and I will discuss the history of NOAH as they are approaching their 20th anniversary after the split from All Japan in the spring of 2000. We will also chat about the tragic passing of Hana Kimura and more this Sunday on the show.
