The June 3rd episode of NXT will feature the finals of the interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship tournament. Drake Maverick was able to best KUSHIDA and Jake Atlas in a Triple-Threat match to lock himself into the finals of the tournament against El Hijo del Fantasma. There was a controversial finish done in the match and in a post-match interview, Maverick said that when he wins the title, the first person he’ll defend against is KUSHIDA.
Shotzi Blackheart went one-on-one with Raquel Gonzalez. Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai were on the outside supporting their respective partners. There was a portion of the match when the match spilled to the outside. Shotzi climbed on the ropes and attempted a “Coffin Drop” maneuver and overshot the rotation and landed on her neck.

Chelsea Green teamed up with NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and they defeated Charlotte’s TakeOver opponents, Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai. On next week’s program, Mia Yim and Candice LeRae are going one-on-one and there will be a Prime Target special to spotlight Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley and Adam Cole vs. Velveteen Dream ahead of TakeOver: In Your House.
