Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy set for AEW Fyter Fest

Orange Cassidy will get his chance to wrestle Chris Jericho in a one-on-one match on either night one or night two of AEW Fyter Fest.

Orange Cassidy and former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho have been at odds over the past several weeks on Dynamite. Jericho has bloodied up Orange Cassidy and Cassidy returned the favor by either brawling with or evading Jericho. On the 6/17 episode of Dynamite, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara took on Chuck Taylor and Trent in the main event. If Jericho and Guevara had won, they would’ve replaced Best Friends in the AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Fyter Fest.

As the match was coming to a close, Sammy Guevara hit the ropes and was tripped up by a cameraman that was none other than Orange Cassidy. The interference led to Best Friends getting the win and after the match, Orange Cassidy took the fight to Jericho. It was then made official that the two will meet at Fyter Fest on either July 1st or July 8th.

An AEW Women’s World Championship match was made official for Fyter Fest earlier in the show and with the addition of Orange Cassidy vs. Chris Jericho, below is the updated lineup for AEW’s forthcoming two-night event special:

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brian Cage (w/ Taz)
AEW World Tag Team Championships: Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page (c) vs. Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent)
AEW Women’s World Championship: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Penelope Ford
TNT Championship: Cody (c) vs. Jake Hager
