WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Bayley successfully defended their titles on NXT against Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox. As Banks and Bayley were celebrating their victory and their return to NXT, they were ambushed by NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai.

Next week, Keith Lee is set to defend the North American Championship against Johnny Gargano and Finn Balor. The winner of that match will go on to face NXT Champion Adam Cole on July 8th in a double title match. Damian Priest scored a win over the returning Killian Dain who has not wrestled on NXT since March. There was a Mercedes Martinez vignette that aired. Martinez signed with WWE in January of 2020 and her first and last singles match on the brand was in February.

The trio of Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza and NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar (El Hijo del Fantasma) laid waste to Drake Maverick once again. Next week, Bronson Reed will be in action against Karrion Kross. In addition to that match, Damian Priest looks to continue his winning streak as he takes on Cameron Grimes.
