During the main event of the 6/24 episode of NXT, it was revealed that next week’s episode of NXT will be under The Great American Bash banner. The last time that WWE held an event under the Great American Bash name was in 2012 for a SmackDown “super show”.
In the aforementioned main event, Keith Lee retained his North American Title by defeating Finn Balor and Johnny Gargano. On July 8th, Lee will meet NXT Champion Adam Cole in a double title, winner take all match.
On next week’s program, Dexter Lumis is going one-on-one with Roderick Strong in a Strap match. Lumis and Strong were set to go one-on-one on tonight’s show but Strong ran away mid-match and was counted out. Also, Dakota Kai, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox and Mia Yim will compete in a four-way bout to determine the next challenger to Io Shirai NXT Women’s Championship.

Robert Stone will be in action next week as well when he teams up with Aliyah to take on Rhea Ripley. Stone failed to lead Aliyah to victory in her match against Rhea on NXT. There was another Mercedes Martinez promo that aired and Karrion Kross kept his winning streak alive by defeating Bronson Reed.
