Friday Night SmackDown saw a spike in viewership for its tribute dedicated to The Undertaker.
The overnight figures see SmackDown averaging 2,174,000 viewers with the final number reflecting the entire country to be released Monday.
The show is broken down with 2,271,000 viewers watching the first hour that featured the tribute to The Undertaker to begin the show and re-airing of the Boneyard Match from WrestleMania 36.
The second hour averaged 2,076,000 viewers, which featured matches taped earlier in the day including King Corbin vs. Jeff Hardy in the main event slot.
SmackDown did 0.5 in the 18-49 demographic, its same rating in the demo since April 24th. Among network programming, SmackDown tied ABC’s airings of Shark Tanks and 20/20 for top position in the demo.
If the final number for SmackDown tops 2.1 million viewers it will the first time it has hit that mark since April 17th.
SmackDown faced competition from CBS’ airing of the Daytime Emmy Awards that topped SmackDown’s viewership but not in the demo rating.
