New IMPACT World Title match, tag team title match confirmed for Slammiversary

IMPACT Wrestling confirmed a new world title main event and a tag team title bout for their Slammiversary PPV on July 18th.

IMPACT Wrestling is just several weeks out from their annual Slammiversary pay-per-view. With the news emerging that Tessa Blanchard’s contract with IMPACT has been terminated and Michael Elgin no longer working with the company, that removed the both of them from the IMPACT World Championship match at Slammiversary that Tessa was so supposed to walk into as champion. Now slated for the world title slot is Ace Austin, Eddie Edwards, Trey Miguel and a mystery opponent competing in a four-way match to determine the company’s new world champion.

Also added to the Slammiversary lineup is a tag team title bout that will see The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) defending their titles against the newly formed duo of Sami Callihan and Ken Shamrock.

With the additions and makeover to the match card, here’s the official Slammiversary lineup as of this writing:

* Vacant IMPACT World Championship — Four-Way match: Trey vs. Ace Austin vs. Eddie Edwards vs. TBA
