AEW Fight For The Fallen scheduled for 7/15, Moxley vs. Cage set for the show

AEW announced the second installment of their Fight For The Fallen event for July 15. Scheduled for that show is Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Brian Cage.

Jon Moxley versus Brian Cage for the AEW World Championship was supposed to headline night two of AEW’s Fyter Fest event[s] on July 8th. Moxley was pulled from Dynamite last week because he had secondhand exposure to COVID-19. It was later revealed by Renee Young, who’s the wife of Jon Moxley, that she tested positive for Coronavirus. With that, Moxley and Cage will now have their championship match at Fight For The Fallen on July 15th.

Taz and Brian Cage made an appearance on the 7/1 edition of Fyter Fest to address the match change. Taz made mention that Moxley has been tested twice for COVID and both results were negative. Taz also stated that AEW is not running a “sloppy shop” and paused before he continued speaking about the forthcoming match between Cage and Moxley.

The upcoming Fight For The Fallen event will be the second installment of this event by AEW. Last year’s show emanated from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville on 7/13 and was headlined by The Young Bucks versus Dustin and Cody Rhodes.

Following tonight’s Fyter Fest show, a new edition of Rewind-A-Dynamite will be available to listen to here on the site and on the POST Wrestling YouTube channel.
