In the main event of Saturday’s New Japan Cup Final, EVIL defeated Kazuchika Okada to advance to Sunday’s Dominion main event to challenge Tetsuya Naito for the Double Championship.

Their main event match clocked in at more than thirty minutes ending when EVIL hit Okada low and then proceeded with Everything is Evil to pin Okada and win the New Japan Cup.

The major angle took place after the match when EVIL and LIJ leader Tetsuya Naito was in the ring with EVIL attacking the Double Champion with Everything is Evil after snubbing the fist bump. EVIL followed the attack by declaring his allegiance to The Bullet Club alongside members Taiji Ishimori, Yujiro, Gedo, and Jado, who did the “too sweet” sign.

EVIL had been part of LIJ since returning to New Japan from his excursion in October 2015.

This is EVIL’s first New Japan Cup win and defeated Satoshi Kojima, Hirooki Goto, Yoshi-Hashi, Sanada, and Okada to win the tournament.

We will have a more detailed report from Mike Murray later today on the site.

Here are the full results from Saturday’s card in Osaka:
*Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma over Yota Tsuji & Yuya Uemura
*Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan over Hirooki Goto & Gabriel Kidd
*Master Wato over Douki
*Taiji Ishimori & Yujiro over Sanada & Bushi
*Zack Sabre Jr., Taichi, El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru over Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Yuji Nagata & Ryusuke Taguchi

*EVIL over Kazuchika Okada to win the New Japan Cup.
