To open the 7/15 edition of WWE NXT, Keith Lee offered Dominik Dijakovic the opportunity to challenge for both the NXT and North American Championships. Lee defeated Dijakovic and retained both of his titles but after the match, he was confronted by Scarlett.
Prior to their one-on-one bout when they were setting up the match, Dijakovic sported a Shad Gaspard shirt.

Elsewhere during the show, Dijakovic was attacked by Karrion Kross which led to a match between the two men being set up for next week. Also announced for next week’s program is a bout between Killian Dain and Dexter Lumis. The match came about when Robert Stone promised to get Dain the match after dumping coffee on Dain last week during a backstage segment.
Io Shirai defeated Tegan Nox in the main event to retain the NXT Women’s Title. While she was exiting from camera’s view, Shirai was met with a boot from Dakota Kai who has previously taken aim at the NXT Women’s Title.
