The 7/22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown from the WWE Performance Center had several notes coming out of it including the announcement of two title matches for next week’s program. Nikki Cross defeated Alexa Bliss to earn another shot at Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Lucha House Party member Gran Metalik outlasted Shorty G, Lince Dorado and Drew Gulak in a Fatal 4-Way match to secure an opportunity at the WWE Intercontinental Title. Metalik and the champion AJ Styles are going one-on-one next week.
During a backstage segment, Kofi Kingston approached Big E and alerted him that after their tables match at Extreme Rules, he’ll be out of action up to six weeks. Kingston then convinced Big E that he needs to go on a singles run. E denied several times until Kingston convinced him that it’s his time to shine.
