Alex Koslov returning to NJPW to do commentary for NJPW Strong

Former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Alex Koslov is making his return to New Japan, but as a commentator for NJPW Strong.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is set to present their NJPW Strong show on NJPW World on August 7th at 10 PM EST. It was announced via their social media channels that returning to the company to do commentary for NJPW Strong will be former two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Alex Koslov.

Alex Koslov is joining Kevin Kelly to call the action for NJPW Strong. The Japanese broadcast team will feature Hiroshi Tanahashi and Katsuyori Shibata.

Koslov’s last match in New Japan Pro-Wrestling took place at New Year’s Dash in 2015 where he and Rocky Romero were defeated by Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish. The night prior, Koslov and Romero were a part of a four-way tag match for the junior tag titles at Wrestle Kingdom with The Young Bucks, Fish & O’Reilly and ‘Time Splitters’ (Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA).

NJPW Strong is being produced by the Championship Wrestling from Hollywood team. David Marquez and Logan Chegg are co-directing the series.
