NJPW updates Summer Struggle card for Jingu Stadium

New Japan Pro Wrestling has added several matches to its Summer Struggle event at Jingu Stadium on Saturday, August 29th.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has added several matches to its Summer Struggle event at Jingu Stadium on Saturday, August 29th.

New matches include a NEVER Openweight title match as Shingo Takagi defends the title against Minoru Suzuki, a rematch for the IWGP tag titles with Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi defending against Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi, and a singles match between Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Master Wato.

The card is headlined by a rematch for the Double Championship with EVIL defending the titles against former dual champion Tetsuya Naito.

There will also be an IWGP junior heavyweight title match between champion Hiromu Takahashi and Taiji Ishimori.

Plus, a four-way match to determine the KOPW2020. The four qualifying matches (with fans voting on stipulations for each one) will take place August 26th with the following matchups set and the winners meeting at Jingu Stadium:
*Kazuchika Okada vs. Yujiro
*SHO vs. Sanada
*Toru Yano vs. Bushi
*Satoshi Kojima vs. El Desperado

*EVIL vs. Tetsuya Naito for the Double Championship
